Veterans gather to share breakfast, war stories and more

At this breakfast, history is served, along with eggs and bacon.
But the history doesn’t come from a book. Instead, stories of the past are told from those who lived it during World War II, and conflicts in Korea, Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan and elsewhere.
The Veterans Breakfast Club began about three years ago as the brainchild of two men, Todd DePastino of Mt. Lebanon and Dan Cavanaugh of Pittsburgh, who have never fought in a war but are interested in history and think there is wisdom to be shared from one generation to another. . . .
