Seeking to to capture, preserve, and share the voices, images, and experiences of Pittsburgh area veterans of all branches of service and eras, the Veterans Breakfast Club has partnered with the Veteran Voices of Pittsburgh Oral History Initiative.
“We believe that a story not told is a story not heard,” says Todd DePastino, executive director of the Veterans Breakfast Club, “so, our ultimate focus is on storytelling.”
Kevin Farkas is founder and director of the Veteran Voices of Pittsburgh Oral History Initiative. and the and manages the project’s technical development. He is a native of Beaver County and a Cold War era veteran of the US Navy, serving two tours of duty aboard the USS Saratoga (CV-60).
